I have taken a new approach to talking about colors and how they relate to my jewelry, focusing on monthly colors. These colors are different from birthstones and their supposed symbolism. While I have missed a month or two it has been an interesting way to showcase different gemstones.
For the month of May the colors are Cream and Lavender.
Now, I have no idea who decides on these "Colors of the Month" but it is easy to search online and a fun way to approach my love of color.
For Cream:
Of course my choice to represent the color Cream is Pearl! I think anyone who has read my emails or followed me on social media is familiar with my enthusiastic posting about Pearls and the jewelry I create.
One of my favorite pieces, and very popular with customers, are my Pearl Cluster necklaces. Like all of my jewelry no two pieces are alike. I depend upon nature to dictate the size and shape of the pearls.
This delicate yet striking necklace can be worn for many occasions and will always elicit wonderful compliments.
Lab grown Alexandrite is my pick to represent the color Lavender. Natural Alexandrite is an extremely expensive stone in the Chrysoberyl family with distinct color changes depending on the light. My lab created stones are not as changeable and have photographed here as quite pale and beautiful in a pretty shade of lavender.
These earrings created from .75" reticulated silver discs showcase 6mm faceted lab alexandrites, about 2.6 tcw.
