Recreating Popular Pieces!

Designing new pieces, and recreating those that become fast favorites, is one of the joys of my work. Often, a design will sell at a show or gallery before I even have a chance to photograph it and get it on my website!

These sterling silver and gold-filled dangle earrings, suspended from a handmade Byzantine chain, are a perfect example. I sold a pair at the recent Sage Market and knew I had to add them to my inventory. They’re a fresh variation on an earlier style, now with the added detail of the handwoven chain. I just hope they’re still available by the time this newsletter goes out!

Oh, the story behind this piece! A few years ago, we had a small rattlesnake sneak into our house. My husband quickly took care of it—only to find another one in the garage shortly after. Thankfully, he handled that one too. I knew I had to commemorate the experience somehow, and that’s how the "snake" pendant came to be!

Made from hammered copper and a sterling silver snake shape, this fun and unique pendant measures 1.5" x 0.5"—a small but bold reminder of that wild encounter!

Another design I’ve been refining: my Sapphire Open Dangle Earrings. I call them “open” because of the circular cutout in the sterling disc behind the sapphire. In earlier versions, the movable stone sat on top of the disc. This new design allows light to flow through the stone, creating even more flash and glimmer. The result? A more striking, luminous pair of earrings.
