Jewelry in Motion

The two videos above both began as still photographs of these earrings.

Using an AI program called ImagineX, I asked it to turn that single image into a five-second moving video. While the results may look similar at first glance, they are not identical.

This is where the concept of AI “hallucination” comes in. AI does not truly understand jewelry - it predicts and reconstructs what it thinks should happen next. Sometimes that prediction is slightly off. The shape shifts. A curve changes. A pearl moves in a way that isn’t quite right.

It took seven attempts before the motion felt natural and the earrings remained true to their original design.

Once I had the correct video, I used ezgif.com to convert it into the final looping GIF you see below.

It's a fascinating process - wonderful technology, takes a lot of patience - and I believe the added motion brings you one step closer to experiencing the piece in person..

This cuff translated beautifully - nearly perfect after four tries.
The motion is what makes it come alive. As it moves, you begin to understand its curve, its dimension, and the way the surface responds to light.

Not only do we want to see the motion, but we also want to see how it looks when worn!

This image was created using ChatGPT.

I uploaded the same still photograph used to create the video and GIF and asked that the cuff be shown on a female wrist.

The first result came back with the cuff much too large - clearly not realistic. So, I revised my prompt, adjusted the instructions, and tried again.

This is what ChatGPT created. Perfect!

I truly love exploring what AI can do - and I hope you enjoy seeing these pieces in this new way as much as I enjoy creating them.
