Gem Shopping in Tucson

Gem Shopping in Tucson!

Another year has passed, and the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show has arrived once again, full of gorgeous stones, beautiful findings, new ideas, and fresh inspiration!

Joining me again this year were my friends Shelly and Kristin. We made the two-hour drive under clear blue skies and perfect 70-degree weather - an easy and beautiful start to the trip.

Along with sterling findings, my shopping list included pearls, blue moissanite, amethyst, garnet, and peridot gemstones. I was also searching for attractive stainless steel chains to replace the increasingly expensive sterling chains I had been using on my more affordable pendants.
I visited many of my favorite long-time vendors, including Kamal Trading, Kingman Turquoise, Majestic Pearl, and Neotric Gems. I also discovered a new supplier for sterling findings and, most importantly, Davinci Collections, a company offering wonderful stainless-steel chains.

After a long day of walking from tent to tent, I settled up with the vendors and packed my bags with the booty I had found. We then headed to a lovely Airbnb to freshen up before venturing out to the Cheesecake Factory for a fun and delicious dinner.

On Sunday, we returned to the show and tents to continue searching for a few items still on my list. As luck would have it, I found the blue moissanite I had been hoping for and discovered even more beautiful pearls along the way.
We headed for home around 1 p.m., and as soon as I arrived, I laid out all my treasures to photograph for my records. I am delighted with this year’s purchases - from the lovely gemstones and pearls to the sterling findings and chains. It was a wonderful show!
I can’t wait to begin working with these new items and share the results with you soon.
