Gemstone Collection
Challenging myself to use materials in the most creative possible way is my favorite cure for boredom--it allows me to explore ideas that have inspired me but have not yet had the chance to get out! With this collection, I allowed my imagination to run wild, cutting a hole in silver sheet and applying a torch technique to develop funky shapes and reticulation, and completing the design with a favorite material--gemstones--in the middle. Earrings felt like a natural pairing, so I explored degrees of hammering and reticulation as I added earrings to the Gemstone Collection.
