RETURN POLICY OVERVIEW

Customer service is my top priority. You are important to me, and my goal is for you to be utterly enchanted by your Tres Elegante Designs jewelry. However, if for any reason you are dissatisfied with your purchase, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’ll always strive to come up with a solution if at all possible. There are really only a few specific instances in which a sale is considered “final” or non-refundable:

Custom Pieces – If you’ve asked me for a special size or any other modifications to a standard design, and of course if you’ve requested a one-of-a-kind design, these requests require extra care and time. Therefore, custom pieces are non-returnable and all sales are final.

In-Person Purchases – Any piece of Tres Elegante Designs jewelry that is purchased in-person is non-refundable, although an exchange will be granted so long as you follow the timeline as described below in the “For website orders” section. My return policies have been shaped with the needs of website customers in mind, because they don’t have the benefit of seeing a piece up close and/or trying it on.

Items That Have Been Subjected to Obvious Wear and Tear: Returns are only processed for items sent back in their original condition, i.e. not when a piece shows obvious signs of wear and tear, and/or is missing components. Please note however that if a shipping mishap appears to be responsible for damage to your jewelry in transit, our "Exchanges" policy below does address this.

RETURN POLICY REQUIREMENTS

For website orders:

Within seven (7) days of your purchase:
You may return any piece of non-custom Tres Elegante Designs jewelry within 7 days of the ship date for either (a) a refund to your credit card in the amount of the purchase price, minus actual cost of shipping, or (b) credit toward another purchase.

All returned items must be in their original condition (i.e. no obvious signs of wear and tear).

Please note that this policy does not cover items that have been damaged during shipment. Kindly see my “Exchanges” policy below for more information.

After seven days from purchase:
If it’s been longer than seven days since your item shipped, your return will be exchanged for the exact same design if it is still available. However, if that design is no longer available, you may choose another item of equal value. Should you select an item of greater value in such an instance, you will be required to pay the difference in the retail price of the new item along with any applicable sales taxes.

Items purchased and/or delivered as gifts:

If the item was specifically purchased as a gift for you and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a credit in the form of a Tres Elegante Designs gift certificate for the monetary value of your returned item. Once we’ve received the returned item from you, your gift certificate will be mailed.

If the item wasn’t specifically identified as a gift when purchased (for instance, if the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later), we are only able to issue a refund to the gift giver via his or her method of purchase (i.e. credit card or other means of purchase).

REFUNDS
• Available only within seven days of purchase
• Applicable only toward regularly-priced items
• Requires receipt or other means of proof of purchase

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to let you know that we have received your return, and to notify you as to whether or not a refund will be granted based on our policies. If your request for a refund is approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your credit card (or original method of payment). If you would prefer to receive credit toward a future purchase, we’ll send you an email with information about the amount of credit being issued to you and how to redeem it.

Timeframe for refunds:
If your bank account does not reflect a refund within 10 business days, please check with your credit card company and/or bank – they can often provide you with more information as to how quickly refunds are processed per their policies. If you’ve confirmed with your credit card company or bank that their standard timeframe for processing refunds has passed, and you still have not received your refund, please contact us at treselegantedesigns@gmail.com.

Sale items:
As noted above, only regular priced items are eligible for a refund.

EXCHANGES
(applicable only to defective or damaged items)

Please note that we only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item that has arrived in defective or damaged condition, please send us an email at treselegantedesigns@gmail.com so that we may guide you through the exchange process and its requirements.

We insure all of our jewelry when we ship it via USPS, which is why it's very important for you to return the original packaging to us. This helps to establish that an unexpected occurrence during the shipment process likely caused or contributed to damage of the items in question.

SHIPPING

Shipping charges:
Please note that due to a number of variables beyond our control in the shipping process, shipping charges are non-refundable, and you will be responsible for paying any shipping costs incurred when returning your jewelry to us. Refunds issued for jewelry purchased from Tres Elegante Designs will not include the cost of shipment, only the value of the item itself.

Shipping timeframes:
If you are expecting an item from us (either a new item or an exchange), please note that your location and other logistical factors will of course impact the length of time it takes for you to receive your item.

Returning items of significant value:
If you are shipping an item back to us that you consider to be of substantial value ($75 or higher is a good rule of thumb), please consider using a shipping method that offers you the option of tracking your shipment, and/or be sure to purchase shipping insurance. Again, due to a number of variables beyond our control in the shipping process, we have no way of ensuring that your shipment will reach us.
